PDFKill (pdfkill.com) is a free online PDF utility service. We are an independent, privacy-first tool designed to help you process PDF files without requiring an account or retaining your data. You can contact us at minimonsterlab@gmail.com.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect the absolute minimum data needed to operate the service:
- Uploaded files: Files you upload are transferred over an encrypted HTTPS connection, processed, and immediately and permanently deleted from our servers the moment your download is ready. We do not store, analyse, or share your file contents.
- Usage analytics: We use Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to collect anonymised, aggregated statistics about page views and tool usage (e.g. "compress-pdf was used 500 times today"). No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.
- IP addresses: Temporarily stored for rate-limiting purposes (to prevent abuse) and automatically purged within minutes. Never linked to file contents.
3. File Processing & Deletion
🔒 Zero Retention Policy
Your files are uploaded to a temporary, encrypted storage bucket solely to complete processing. As soon as your processed file is ready for download, the original upload and the result are permanently deleted. No human ever accesses your files. Processing is fully automated.
4. Cookies
We use essential cookies only for basic site functionality (e.g. language preference). We also use Google AdSense cookies to serve relevant advertisements on free tool pages. You can opt out of personalised ads via Google Ad Settings.
5. Third-Party Services
- Google Analytics — anonymised traffic analytics (Google Privacy Policy)
- Google AdSense — advertising on free tier pages
- Vercel — hosting and edge network (Vercel Privacy Policy)
- Cloudflare R2 — temporary encrypted file storage during processing
6. Your Rights (GDPR)
